E.S.P Surface by Defargo

The Defargo surface is the most realistic looking field and provides traction in wet weather, drainage through the surface (No puddling on top), cushioned surface and long life-span.

Mondo Surface

World Class Track at a World Class Price. Designed for Olympic runners, the surface is laid like rolled carpet and has many seams. Water will puddle on top of the surface and need to be squeegeed off. Seams can open over time as asphalt settles.

Recycled Block Field by Reifen Rubber (Ford)

The low end of surface options. Thousands of edges can lead to lips in the surface that can trip a player up in a walker. Poor appearance.

Defargo Up Close

You can't get much closer than this. Pure virgin rubber mixed with polyurethane provides a surface with a texture that provides a natural field appearance. The surface breathes and water drains through and does not puddle on top. Also, it is not laid in rolls and therefore has the fewest amout of seams of any surface.

Mondo Surface Up Close

Mondo also provides a textured surface but is laid like carpeting leaving many seams throughout the surface. More seams equals potential problems in the future if asphalt settles and widens the seams. Mondo surface does not breath and rain water will settle on top of the surface and require a field squeegee prior to playing after rain.

This surface looks like bathroom tile and has thousands of edges that can become uneven over time providing a tripping hazard for players. Blocks can also become detached as shown in the picture.

Defargo does not outsource installation

Only the most experienced crews are employeed by Defargo to install their surfaces. Crews travel the country, personally installing surfaces to exacting specifications ensuring the quality of every field.

It's all in the mix

Only the highest quality virgin rubber is used on a Defargo field. Rubber is colored through the rubber and is not painted on. Rubber is mixed in a non-allergenic polyurethane as an adhesive.

Rubber color options

Leagues can choose their own field and dugout colors. A blue color was chosen for the dugouts in Michigan.

Defargo spreads out!

The big equipment is used for the majority of the surface. The rubber is mixed and laid in infield and outfield sections. Because the surface is poured and not in a roll, the only seams in this system are between the outfield and infield. The surface is ready for play within three days.
